CPC chairman’s resignation approved

Taipei--Premier Lin Chuan (??) on Friday approved the resignation of state-owned CPC Corp, Taiwan (CPC) Chairman Chen Chin-de (???) to take responsibility for a massive blackout earlier this week, Cabinet spokesman Hsu Kuo-yung (???) announced.

Chen is scheduled to hold a press conference at around noon to explain his decision, Hsu said in a press release.
