Taipei-All 13 Indonesian crew members aboard a Panama-registered freighter were rescued Saturday after it suddenly listed to one side off Kaohsiung Harbor.
The freighter suddenly began to tilt precariously 40 nautical miles off Kaohsiung Harbor at 10:06 a.m., and ended up leaning at a 25-degree angle.
All aboard were rescued by noon after the military and the Coast Guard arrived at the scene.
The crew members were being taken care of temporarily by the Coast Guard Administration, which is now trying to determine the cause of the mishap.
