Taipei, The death of a Taiwanese man found in Singapore Tuesday has been confirmed as being caused by drowning with no indication of foul play, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said Thursday.
MOFA spokesman Andrew Lee (???) made the comments as he cited the results of an investigation conducted by Singaporean police.
Lee said the ministry expressed its condolences to the man's family and made arrangements for them to travel to Singapore on Wednesday.
The man has been identified by Singaporean police as 53-year-old Hu Wen-kai (???).
Hu's heavily decomposed body was found in a drain on Eu Tong Sen Street near Clarke Quay on Tuesday, five days after he was reported missing.
