Magnitude 6 quake hits Hualien

Taipei, Feb. 6 (CNA) A magnitude 6.0 earthquake hit the coastal area of Hualien, eastern Taiwan, at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, the Central Weather Bureau said.

An intensity of seven was recorded for Hualien, Yilan, intensity of five in Nantou, Taichung and Yunlin and four in Taiyuan, Hsinchu, Taitung and Taipei, according to the CWB.
