Taipei--The weather in northern Taiwan will remain warm and humid on Wednesday even though a weather front has left the island, with temperatures expected to reach as high as 30 degrees Celsius, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) forecast.
The CWB predicted cloudy weather in northern and eastern Taiwan, with occasional showers in the east, and it expected the muggy weather to stick around until Friday when another front arrives.
The north and east will experience highs of 30 degrees and lows of 22 to 25 degrees.
"In general, the weather will be warm and feel very humid," the CWB said.
Central and southern Taiwan will see a high of 33 degrees on Wednesday with afternoon thundershowers, the bureau forecast.
The weather front expected to arrive on Friday will bring more rain to northern Taiwan, but northerly winds will take over on Saturday, cooling northern areas a bit to highs of 25 degrees and lows of 20 degrees the low.
In central and southern Taiwan, the weather will not change much on the weekend, and temperatures will likely remain above 30 degrees, the CWB forecast.
It will not be fairly sunny until Sunday, the bureau said.
