Taipei--Despite the sunshine in the morning, the weather will turn unstable Monday afternoon due to another front that is expected to bring occasionally heavy showers or thundershowers to all parts of Taiwan over the next day, including the islands counties of Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu, the Central Weather Bureau said.
The weather is expected to change in the afternoon, starting with thundershowers in northern and eastern Taiwan and in mountainous areas in central and southern Taiwan, it said.
The influence of the weather front will be felt most strongly from Monday night until the end of Tuesday, when showers or thundershowers are expected in all parts of Taiwan, it said, adding that there will be chances of occasional heavy downpours.
When it is not raining, it could still feel a little muggy Monday, with highs of between 30 and 33 degrees Celsius in the western half of Taiwan and 29 and 31 degrees in the east.
