Taipei--It will be fairly sunny all over Taiwan on Sunday but the temperature will change a lot from morning to evening, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) forecast.
The weather will be warmer than the previous days thanks to the southerly winds. As a result, it will be sunny throughout the day in most areas in Taiwan, except Hualien and Taitung counties in the east, where it will be moderately cloudy, the CWB said.
The highest temperature will reach 30 to 31 degrees Celsius in the western areas and 27 to 28 degrees in the east, with the lows to descend to 19 to 24 degrees.
In some parts of Taiwan, the daytime and nighttime temperature difference will be as big as 10 degrees, the CWB predicted, advising people to dress appropriately.
Also in light of a low cloud volume, people are advised to take precautions against ultraviolet rays and drink water when doing outdoor activities in the daytime.
From Monday to Thursday it will be mostly cloudy all over the country, with occasional showers in mountainous areas. The showers could spread to the northern and northeastern areas, as well as low-lying areas close to mountains, the weather bureau forecast.
The weather will turn cooler on Friday as a frontal system passes and northeasterly winds approach, with the highest temperatures to drop to 25 to 27 degrees, the CWB predicted.
