Taiwan travel agency hacked from abroad: police

Taipei--Police are investigating the hacking of a local travel agency's computer system that led to the loss of customers' data, the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) said Tuesday.

It is unclear whether the hacking was related to the global ransomware attack earlier this month, the bureau said.

Lion Travel Service Co. filed a report with the CIB Tuesday after it discovered that its computer system had been hacked by overseas attackers, who stole its customers' data.
