Taipei-A weak cold front making its way through Taiwan is expected to bring down temperatures in northern and eastern Taiwan on Wednesday, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.
Temperatures are forecast to fall 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs in northern Taiwan and Yilan and Hualien counties in eastern Taiwan to range between 21 and 23 degrees, CWB forecaster Lin Ding-yi (???) said.
Eastern Taiwan can also expect a bit of rain, while northern Taiwan will see an accumulation of clouds.
Daytime highs in other parts of Taiwan will remain between 24 and 26 degrees, while lows will hit 16 to 18 degrees, Lin said.
On Thursday, the combined influence of northeasterly winds and moisture from the south will increase the chance of rain throughout the country, leading to unstable weather on Friday and Saturday.
The unstable weather should ease up on Sunday, however, as the northeasterly winds weaken, but Lin warned of the arrival of more northeasterly winds at the beginning of next week that could bring rain to Taiwan once again.
