Taipei-The weather around Taiwan is expected to be warm and comfortable Monday as temperatures continue to rise from last week's lows, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.
Daytime highs are forecast at 22-26 degrees Celsius in northern and eastern Taiwan and 28 degrees in the south, the bureau said.
The bureau, however, advised the public to watch out for big differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures, which could exceed 10 degrees in the western and northeastern regions.
In the early hours of Monday, lows of 10 degrees were recorded in Chiayi, 10.8 degrees in Taichung, 11 degrees in Hsinchu, 11.7 degrees in Taoyuan's Xinwu District and 11.8 degrees in New Taipei's Banqiao District, CWB data showed.
The weather is expected to turn wet and cooler starting Wednesday afternoon, as seasonal northeasterly winds strengthen and a cloud system arrives from the south, according to the bureau.
