Public bicycle rental service provider YouBike resumed normal operations in Taipei at 3 p.m. Wednesday after services were suspended due to Typhoon Megi, which battered the country a day earlier, according to the city's Department of Transportation.
The department made the announcement after the Central Weather Bureau lifted a land warning for Taiwan proper at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday as Typhoon Megi moved toward Fujian Province in China.
However, as power supplies had not been restored to some rental locations, users were advised to check related information about the operations of various rental stations via the YouBike website and app.
The department said the YouBike service center was still closed Wednesday but added that would-be users should seek service or information via the service lines 1999 or 02-89785511.
