Following the incident where a 14-year-old Thai female patient was injured in a field trip bus fire involving students from Wat Khao Phraya Sangkharam School in Uthai Thani Province, which caught fire on inbound Vibhavadi Rangsit Road on October 1, 2024, and was admitted for treatment at the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, Department of Medical Services. From the examination and treatment, the general condition has improved. There is no fever, he can eat, the burn wounds on both arms are stable, no infection was found. The wounds in other areas are much better. The rehabili tation medicine team has started activities to rehabilitate the patient's physical condition to prevent complications. Overall, the patient can help himself well. However, he still needs continuous monitoring. From the results of the mental assessment, it was found that the patient was able to sleep better. During the day, he was able to do activities to relax and manage his emotions well. However, the mental health of the patient and his family must be continuously assessed and the symptoms must be monitored periodically.
