All agencies mobilized to help villagers clean up houses and road surfaces in Mae Sai after the water receded, leaving behind garbage and mud. Mae Sai Subdistrict Municipality, Wiang Pang Kham Subdistrict Municipality, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, military units, and volunteers all joined forces, bringing large trucks and excavators to help villagers restore their homes, shops, and other places after the flood receded, because every area was full of garbage and mud. Mr. Narongpol Kit-an, Mae Sai District Chief, held a meeting with relevant agencies to find ways to provide assistance to those affected. He stated that since the severe flooding on September 10th until now, it has been in recovery mode, cleaning up, and clearing the red zone area so that people can enter their homes, clean up their houses, and remove damaged items, including garbage and mud. In a meeting with relevant agencies, village leaders, and local community leaders, they confirmed that they would provide assista nce to those affected and their families, covering medical expenses, funeral expenses, and repairing houses, orchards, farms, and tools for their occupation.
