Cabinet approves 344 million baht central budget to promote filming of foreign films in Thailand. Ms. Nattareeya Thaweewong, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, announced the results of the Cabinet meeting that the Cabinet approved the annual budget for fiscal year 2024, the central budget, the reserve fund for emergency or necessary cases, in the amount of 344,652,887.84 baht to be used for expenses to promote the filming of foreign films in Thailand, as proposed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, to reimburse the producers of 7 foreign films, where all 7 films submitted documents to request benefits under the measure before the Department of Tourism issued the Department of Tourism Announcement on the criteria, methods, and conditions for requesting benefits under the measure to promote the filming of foreign films in Thailand (No. 3) B.E. 2566, which was announced on March 7, 2023.
