Cabinet appoints “Mahatthana” as new Director of Deposit Protection Agency

Bangkok,, The Cabinet meeting on 23 July 2024 resolved to appoint Dr. Mahatthana Ampornpisit as the Director of the Deposit Protection Agency, as proposed by the Minister of Finance, effective from 23 July 2024 onwards. Dr. Mahatthana Ampornpisit, 47 years old, is an experienced person working in important positions in both government and private sectors, such as Vice Chairman of the Executive Board, Chief Executive Officer of AAS Auto Service Co., Ltd., Director of National Telecom Public Company Limited, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Digital and Data, Thai Group Holding Public Company Limited, and Director of Insurance Policy Division, Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance. In terms of educational qualifications, Dr. Mahatthana holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Economics from Claremont Graduate University, USA, and a Master's degree in International Finance from Chulalongkorn University, a Master's degree in Economics from Suffolk University, USA, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, USA.
