Car bomb at the entrance to the residence of the District Chief of Tak Bai, Narathiwat Province, soldiers on patrol injured 2 people. As a result, two Navy personnel from the 1st Rifle Company, 2nd Rifle Company, 33rd Marine Division, were injured while patrolling the area. The injured were taken to Tak Bai Hospital. They included: Private First Class Binhrim, 22, from Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, was injured by shrapnel in the legs, torso and face. Private First Class Anuwat, 22, from Langu District, Satun Province, was injured by shrapnel in the legs, torso and face. After the incident, the security sector used a plan to close the areas of Tak Bai Municipality and Su-ngai Kolok Municipality, increasing the strictness of checking people and vehicles entering and leaving the area, and asking for cooperation to avoid traveling during this period if it is not necessary. While the latest report from ISOC Region 4 Forward Command states that before the car bomb incident, 5 assailants dressed as soldiers, wearing woolen hats to cover their faces, used M16 rifles to rob a Bangkok-registered car belonging to a volunteer ranger's wife from her house, before hiding an improvised explosive device in it and parking it in front of the district officer's house. This morning, the bomb disposal and forensics team jointly inspected the scene and found pieces of the car used as a vehicle to hide the bomb, including the car's grille and license plate, near the district chief's house. In addition, pieces of the bomb that had been assembled and placed in a cooking gas tank, weighing approximately 50 kilograms, were found, but the detonator is still unknown. Meanwhile, the guard post at the entrance of the flats, the accommodation of the Tak Bai District Volunteer Defense Corps Company, was dam aged, both the wall and the roof.
