Delivery services for food and light daily necessities using unmanned drones will begin next month across 32 select islands and 17 parks throughout the country, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said Tuesday. The island regions where drone deliveries will take place include Mara Island, Gapa Island in Jeju and Geumo Island in South Jeolla Province. Select islands in other provinces, including the South Chungcheong and South Gyeongsang provinces, are also included. The select park areas include the Tancheon and Jungang parks in Gyeonggi Province, as well as park zones in other provinces, including North Gyeongsang Province, North Jeolla Province and South Gyeongsang Province. Main items for delivery will include food, such as chicken and pizza, as well as daily necessities, with a weight limit of 3 kilograms.
