DSI detains suspect in human trafficking case who tricked people into becoming scammers in neighboring countries, opposing bail Today (August 20, 2024), the Human Trafficking Division, Department of Special Investigation, led by Pol. Lt. Col. Prinya Kritsana, Head of the Special Case Investigation Team, Special Case No. 301/2022, took Mr. Saendee (surname withheld) or Kong to the Criminal Court for detention after the officers of the Department of Special Investigation jointly investigated with officers of the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) after tracking down and arresting the suspect at the parking lot of a shopping mall in Khlong Song Ton Nun Subdistrict, Lat Krabang District, Bangkok and sending him to the Department of Special Investigation. Therefore, Mr. Saendee (surname withheld) or Kong was arrested and charged with colluding to traffic in humans by forcing labor, with five or more people colluding to coerce others, colluding to use deception, threats, and violence to take or send people out of t he Kingdom, with the circumstances of colluding to commit the act. By dividing up the tasks of deceiving, smuggling and exporting groups of Thai workers to exploit them in the form of forced labor in Cambodia, Mr. Saendee (surname withheld) or Kong is the boyfriend of Ms. Bunyisa, who was arrested and detained by the Criminal Court earlier.
