DSI joins forces with relevant agencies to inspect Khao Kho District, Phetchabun Province, in a case of land occupation in 7 plots of national forest reserve, covering an area of ??approximately 70 rai.
Yesterday (16 July), Pol. Lt. Col. Yuthana Phraedam, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, acting as Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, assigned Pol. Lt. Col. Amorn Hongsrithong, Director of the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division, to order Mr. Thatchakon Anopphet, Deputy Director of the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division, as the head of the special case investigation team 311/2565, regarding the occupation of land in the national forest reserve in Khao Kho District, Phetchabun Province, along with the special case investigation team, to join forces with Khao Kho District Administrative Officers, Forest Protection Unit 2 (Khao Kho), Internal Security Operations Command Region 3, and military officers from the Khek River Ba
sin Development Project Coordination Center to jointly inspect the area where the incident occurred, which was occupied and utilized in the national forest reserve. which is located in Village No. 1, Nong Mae Na Subdistrict, Village No. 2, Village No. 4, Sadet Phong Subdistrict, and Village No. 3, Rim Si Muang Subdistrict, Khao Kho District, Phetchabun Province, totaling 7 plots, area approximately 70 rai.
The case arose from the Royal Forest Department assigning the chief of the forest protection unit at Phor Chor 2 (Khao Kho) to file a complaint with the special case investigation officer of the Department of Special Investigation to prosecute persons involved in the said offense. The Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation approved the Natural Resources and Environmental Case Division to investigate according to Section 21, paragraph one (1) of the Special Case Investigation Act B.E. 2547 and its amendments as Special Case No. 311/2565, which will investigate and expand the results to
those involved in the offense according to the Forest Act B.E. 2484, the National Reserved Forest Act B.E. 2507 and the Land Code.
The case is an action taken under the policy of Pol. Lt. Col. Yuthana Phraedam, acting director-general of the Department of Special Investigation, to expedite the prevention, suppression, and investigation of crimes against natural resources and the environment in order to protect natural resources for future generations.
