Taipei: Taiwanese carrier EVA Airways has opened bookings for its new Taoyuan-Washington, D.C. route, with flights to commence on June 26, 2026, the company said Wednesday. The direct service, the first by a Taiwanese carrier to the U.S. capital, will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from Taoyuan International Airport, and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Washington Dulles International Airport, EVA Air said. The route will be flown by Boeing 787-9s equipped with business, economy, and a brand-new fourth-generation premium economy cabin, it added.
According to Focus Taiwan, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority expects EVA Air's new service to generate more than US$61 million in annual economic benefits for the Washington metropolitan area.
