Ms. Tipanan Sirichana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. Aims to promote efficient travel using the expressway network and to help reduce the burden of expressway toll fees for motorists traveling across the system on the expressways. by the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) extending the time for discounting the toll fee of the Chalong Rat Expressway At Rama 9-1 Expressway Toll Plaza (Chalong Rat) with a discount of 10 baht per trip for all types of vehicles in order to facilitate and reduce people's expenses. As a result, each type of vehicle using the service at the aforementioned tollgate will have the toll rates as follows:
4-wheel vehicles, normal toll rates are 40 baht, reduced to 30 baht.
Vehicles with 6-10 wheels, normal toll rates are 60 baht, reduced to 50 baht.
For vehicles with more than 10 wheels, the normal toll rate is 80 baht, reduced to 70 baht. In this regard, the discount will be divided into 2 phases:
Phase 1: From January 1 to June 30, 2023, a 10 baht discount on expressway tolls per trip is provided for vehicles that use cash. and cars that use the automatic toll collection system with Easy Pass cards
Phase 2, from July 1 to December 31, 2023, will offer a 10 baht discount on expressway tolls per trip, only for vehicles using the Easy Pass automatic toll collection system, in order to encourage service users. The expressways turned to use Easy Pass cards for passing more. This will help solve the problem of traffic congestion in front of the checkpoint. It also supports a cashless society. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19 that is still spreading at the moment.
Users of Easy Pass cards whose cards are about to expire (Its service life is approximately 7 years or has been used for approximately 14,000 times). without charge and invites Easy Pass card users to register and update their information by themselves via the EXAT Portal Application or www.thaieasypass.com. To upgrade the Easy Pass card to Easy Pass Plus, get ready to enter the automatic toll collection system without barriers (M-Flow).
