Hana Financial Group on Tuesday reported its third-quarter net income of 1.16 trillion won (US$838.6 million), up 20.4 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 1.33 trillion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 1.18 trillion won a year ago. Revenue fell 38.8 percent to 10.92 trillion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations.
