HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Co., a major South Korean shipyard, said Wednesday it has secured a contract worth 197.3 billion won (US$147.4 million) to build two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers for a shipper in Asia. The two LPG ships will be built at the shipyard of HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. in Ulsan, about 300 kilometers southeast of Seoul, for delivery by May 2027, the company said in a regulatory filing.
