Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. on Friday reported its second-quarter net income of 146.1 billion won (US$105.3 million), down 31.2 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit for the April-June period was 147.3 billion won, down 34.1 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue rose 20.4 percent to 8.62 trillion won. The earnings beat market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 114 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
