Korea Zinc Inc on Wednesday reported its second-quarter net profit of 175.5 billion won (US$127.4 million), up 41.3 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 268.7 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 155.7 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 23.8 percent to 3.05 trillion won. The operating profit was in line with the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
