NCSOFT Corp. on Monday reported its second-quarter net profit of 71.1 billion won (US$51.9 million), up 132.8 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 8.8 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 35.3 billion won a year ago. Sales fell 16.2 percent to 368.9 billion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations.
