Nvidia Prepared for Growth in H2 of 2026 to 2027: Jensen Huang

Taipei: Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of American AI chip designer Nvidia Corp., announced plans to enhance capacity between the second half of this year and the next to address anticipated strong demand. Before departing from Taipei's Songshan Airport on his private jet, Huang stated that Nvidia has already doubled its capacity for the latter half of this year.

According to Focus Taiwan, Huang highlighted the tight capacity across the supply chain, attributing it to robust demand and rapid growth. Nvidia's AI computing Grace Blackwell platform is currently in high-volume production, while mass production of the next generation Vera Rubin platform has just commenced. Huang urged suppliers to prepare for the significant increase in demand expected in 2027.

During his 14-day visit to Taiwan, Huang met with Nvidia's local suppliers, including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Additionally, he attended Nvidia GTC Taipei and Computex Taipei. He expressed gratitude towards Taiwan for its pivotal role in AI development amid the current computer revolution.

Huang emphasized the potential for a new industry driven by trillions of dollars in computing needs and acknowledged the strong support Nvidia has received. Following his Taiwan visit, Huang traveled to South Korea, marking his second visit to the country in eight months.

Huang noted that Nvidia is a "direct purchaser" of memory chips, which are integral to its systems. He acknowledged the tight memory capacity throughout the supply chain due to strong demand and praised Nvidia's partnerships in Korea.
