South Korea was sent packing from the women's handball tournament at the Paris Olympics on Saturday, after losing to Denmark in its last group stage match. Needing a victory to squeeze into the quarterfinals, South Korea instead lost to Denmark 28-20 to close out Group A play at South Paris Arena 6 in the French capital. The top four teams from each of the two groups qualified for the quarterfinals, and South Korea finished last in its group with one win and four losses. South Korea began the tournament with a 23-22 win over Germany, but then lost to Slovenia, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
