ONWR warns to watch out for water from the Ping River overflowing its banks in Mueang Chiang Mai District and Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province, continuously until 30 Sept. The highest water level on 26-27 Sept. is approximately 1.0-1.5 meters. The Office of National Water Resources (ONWR) has issued an announcement to monitor the overflowing water from the Ping River and flooding in Mueang Chiang Mai and Saraphi Districts, Chiang Mai Province, due to heavy rain in the Ping River basin, causing the water level of the Ping River and its tributaries to rise. There is a tendency for it to overflow in some areas of Mueang Chiang Mai District, including Tambon Chang Klan, Pa Daet, Hai Ya, Chang Moi, Wat Ket, Chang Phueak, Nong Hoi, Tha Sala, Fa Ham, Pa Tan, San Phisuea, and Nong Pa Krang. In Saraphi District, it includes Tambon Nong Phueng and Tha Wang Tan. The water level tends to overflow the banks, with the highest water level on September 26-27, 2024 at approximately 1.0-1.5 meters.
