Police believe one of the six dead was poisoned to escape debt before killing himself.


BKK, Police have found the seventh Vietnamese man on suspicion of the deaths of six foreigners. Initial findings indicate that he is not involved. It is believed that one of the six committed the mass murder to escape debt before killing himself.

The investigation team has obtained important clues to solve the case. They found that one of the six people in the room was the one who drugged the person to escape a debt worth millions of baht before killing himself.

Progress in the poisoning murder case of 6 people in a famous hotel in the Ratchaprasong area. Police have taken 2 bottles of water on the table in the room for examination, as the bottles were not part of the hotel’s equipment. It is suspected that poison was brought in for people in the room to drink. Initial findings indicate that it is a poison more potent than cyanide, mixed in the drink.

From checking the CCTV, the Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s Investigation Division confirmed that no outsiders were found in the room. Meanwhi
le, information from the Immigration Bureau was able to track down a seventh person who had traveled to the hotel and had flown back since July 10. It is believed that he had no involvement in the case. The police therefore believe that the suspect is one of the six bodies in the room. As for the motive, one of the six owed debt to the couple who died near the door, so he planned to kill himself to clear the debt before killing himself.
