PTT-PMO-Rayong Province join in reforestation in the Khao Chom Hae project, opening the door to Rayong

PTT joins forces with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and Rayong Province to plant more forests and increase green areas in the Khao Chom Hae project, opening the door to Rayong in 2024. Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Mr. Kanchai Thepvorachai, Deputy Governor of Rayong Province, and Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Public Company Limited, along with executives of government agencies, PTT Group, and the public, joined the reforestation activity to increase green areas under the Khao Chom Hae Open the Door to Rayong project at Khao Chom Hae, Village No. 7, Makham Khu Subdistrict, Nikhom Phatthana District, Rayong Province. For the Khao Chom Hae Open to Rayong project, it is a continuous project that the Rayong Natural Gas Separation Plant, PTT Public Company Limited, has been operating since 2018, which has increased the green area of Khao Chom Hae by 64 rai and has been certified by the Greenhouse Gas Management Organization that it can store 798.75 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent greenhouse gases. The operation in 2024 will be to plant trees to increase the green area by another 36 rai to reach 100 rai, which will help support PTT's goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In addition, it will create a rich ecosystem for degraded forest areas and be a water source that helps alleviate the impact of floods in Rayong Province, as well as generate income for community enterprises and promote the career of beekeepers in the Khao Chom Hae forest area according to the vision of "PTT, strong together with Thai society and growing sustainably at the global level" or "TOGETHER FOR SUSTAINABLE THAILAND, SUSTAINABLE WORLD".
