Urgent meeting of the acting cabinet on 15 Aug. 2024 at 2:00 p.m. to discuss the order to appoint an acting person to drive the work. Reporters reported that after the Constitutional Court had a majority vote of 5 to 4, ruling that the ministerial status of Mr. Sathit Thaveesin, the Prime Minister, had ended according to the Constitution, Section 170, paragraph one (4), in conjunction with Section 160 (4) and (5), resulting in Mr. Sathit Thaveesin no longer being Prime Minister along with the entire Cabinet in the case of submitting the matter to His Majesty for royal approval to appoint Mr. Phichit Chuenban as Minister to the Prime Minister's Office. Tomorrow (15 Aug 67) at 2:00 p.m., there will be a caretaker cabinet meeting at Building 1, Government House. It is expected that Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, acting deputy prime minister and acting minister of commerce, who will act as the first acting prime minister, will chair the meeting. It is expected that the meeting will discuss and consider appointment orders and various caretakers so that the administration of the country can move forward before the prime minister is elected. Mr. Phumtham has postponed his return to Thailand urgently after being on official business in Kazakhstan. He will arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport at approximately 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (August 15).-316.
