Taipei:Taipei Metro has announced extended operating hours at three stations and the addition of extra trains to accommodate attendees of this year's Nuit Blanche arts festival, which is set to take place on Saturday at Taipei Expo Park in Yuanshan.
According to Focus Taiwan, the stations Yuanshan, Minquan West Road, and Zhongshan Elementary School will remain open for entry and exit until 2 a.m. on Sunday. Additionally, nearby Shuanglian, Zhongshan, and Taipei Main stations will allow passengers to exit only, without permitting entry or transfers during the extended service period.
After regular service concludes on Saturday night, additional trains will be running approximately every 20 minutes. These trains will operate one-way from Yuanshan to Taipei Main Station and from Zhongshan Elementary School to Minquan West Road.
To further accommodate the festival and other events, such as concerts at Taipei Dome and the annual Taiwan LGBT Pride parade, Taipei Metro will decrease train intervals on the Bannan Line to approximately 2.5 to 3 minutes on Saturday.
