Prague: Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung has arrived in the Czech Republic to attend an exhibition opening, marking the first stop on his European tour aimed at enhancing cultural ties. The visit is part of the broader “Taiwan Culture in Europe 2025” campaign, which seeks to strengthen the cultural and related exchanges between Taiwan and Europe.
According to Focus Taiwan, the campaign will feature Taiwan’s performing arts groups and national treasures, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the island nation. During his stay in the Czech Republic, Lin will participate in the opening of the exhibition “100 Treasures, 100 Stories: Treasures from the National Palace Museum.” This exhibition, held at the National Museum in Prague, will display treasures from Taiwan’s National Palace Museum.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) spokesman Hsiao Kuangwei shared that the exhibition’s opening is set for Thursday. While Hsiao did not provide specific details on Lin’s European itinerary, local media reports suggest the trip is expected to last more than 10 days.
