Taiwan Lottery Unveils Prosperity-Themed Scratch Cards

Taipei: Taiwan Lottery Co. on Friday introduced two new scratch card games, promising enticing prizes totaling more than NT$1.01 billion (US$32.91 million). The newly launched games, named Prosperity All the Way and Joyous Bingo, offer a combined total of over 3.57 million prizes. Prosperity All the Way is priced at NT$200 per card, while Joyous Bingo costs NT$100.

According to Focus Taiwan, Prosperity All the Way integrates the cultural significance of the Mandarin word for “eight,” a number associated with prosperity in Chinese-speaking cultures. The game also features the number 16, which sounds like “all the way” in Mandarin, creating a theme centered around these prosperous numbers. Players can win prizes ranging from NT$800 to a top prize of NT$2 million, with the game offering five top prizes and an overall win rate of 30.25 percent.

Joyous Bingo, on the other hand, puts a twist on the traditional bingo game. Players match numbers on their ticket to a 9 by 9 bingo square. A single line match returns the NT$100 ticket price, while two lines yield NT$200. Prizes escalate with three, four, and five lines matched, offering NT$500, NT$1,000, and NT$2,000, respectively. The top prize of NT$300,000 is awarded for connecting eight lines, with an overall win rate of 33 percent. The game features seven top prizes of NT$300,000 and more than 240,000 prizes exceeding NT$500.

Both scratch cards were made available on Friday and will be on sale until stocks last.
