Taipei: Taiwan shares ended up 497.37 points, or 1.85 percent, at 27,409.54 Wednesday on turnover of NT$508.79 billion (US$16.24 billion).



According to Focus Taiwan, the surge in the stock market was marked by significant trading activity, reflecting investor confidence. The substantial increase in the index was accompanied by a robust turnover, indicating strong participation from traders.
