Taipei:Most of Taiwan will enjoy predominantly sunny and cloudy skies through Wednesday before a shift in weather brings rain to northern and eastern regions starting Thursday, as reported by the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
According to Focus Taiwan, CWA forecaster Liu Pei-teng indicated that from Monday to Wednesday, conditions will vary between cloudy and sunny, with the possibility of afternoon showers in mountainous areas. During this period, temperatures are expected to remain largely stable, with daytime highs ranging from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius, potentially reaching up to 36 degrees in Taipei and inland regions of western Taiwan. Nighttime temperatures are predicted to range from 23 to 26 degrees across the island.
Starting Thursday and continuing through the following Tuesday, stronger northeasterly winds are anticipated to bring localized showers to areas north of Taoyuan and eastern Taiwan, in addition to afternoon showers in southern and mountainous regions. Daytime high temperatures in areas north of Taoyuan and eastern Taiwan are expected to slightly decrease to 30-31 degrees Celsius, while remaining around 34-35 degrees elsewhere. Nighttime temperatures will likely fall to approximately 22-24 degrees across Taiwan.
