Taiwanese Character Brands Showcased at Bangkok Illustration Fair by TAICCA

Bangkok:Taiwanese character brands are currently being showcased at the Bangkok Illustration Fair (BKKIF) as part of an initiative by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) to penetrate Southeast Asian markets.

According to Focus Taiwan, several Taiwanese creators were chosen from 672 applicants to participate in this year's BKKIF, which runs from Thursday to Sunday and includes 200 participants. The Taiwanese brands featured are IIIII Don't Know, Miho Nyanko, Miss Tanghulu, Bugcat Capoo, Lanparman, and Dinosaur's Room.

TAICCA is taking part in the fair for the first time and has been invited to serve as a reviewer, providing opportunities to connect with international artists and explore potential business partnerships for Taiwanese creators. The agency has also organized a Taiwanese pavilion, a first large-scale national display at the annual fair, to showcase local character brands under one banner, as stated by TAICCA chairperson Sue Wang.

In addition to the pavilion, TAICCA has collaborated with six other Taiwanese brands already popular in Thailand and is leveraging social media to promote Taiwanese creations. Furthering its Southeast Asian expansion strategy, TAICCA plans to send a business delegation to Ho Chi Minh City next week to meet with Vietnamese industry representatives. The agency will recruit 10 intellectual property creators to explore potential business opportunities.

TAICCA has reiterated its commitment to assisting Taiwanese creators in expanding into international markets that align with their brand offerings.
