Southern Taiwan Science Park signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University on Wednesday, the park’s administration announced that day.
The MOU was signed by Lin Wei-cheng (林威呈), head of the Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau, and Suchit Poolthong, dean of the university’s Faculty of Dentistry, in Bangkok.
A Taiwanese delegation comprised of more than 20 science park bureau officials, company executives and Kaohsiung Medical University officials, made a five-day trip to the Southeast Asian country from Dec. 24-28.
Through signing the MOU and donating medical products, the bureau hopes that more Taiwan-made medical products can be sold in Southeast Asia and that more bilateral cooperation projects with Thai medical institutions can be implemented, as part of President Tsai Ing-wen’s (蔡英文) “New Southbound Policy,” said Lin.
