Take a look at the cultural heritage of Phu Phra Bat Historical Park after UNESCO announced it as a world heritage site. Phu Phrabat Historical Park, Tambon Ban Tiew, Tambon Mueang Phan, Amphoe Ban Phue, Udon Thani Province, opened for free admission since yesterday (27 July) and will continue until 12 August after being registered as the second World Heritage Site in Udon Thani Province, following the Ban Chiang archaeological site, and the 8th World Heritage Site, as well as the 5th Cultural World Heritage Site in Thailand, following the Si Thep Ancient City in Phetchabun Province. The announcement was made at the 46th World Heritage Committee Ordinary Session in New Delhi, Republic of India, yesterday (27 July). Phu Phra Bat Historical Park was proposed for World Heritage in 2004, but was later removed from the list. In 2016, it was proposed for reconsideration. Finally, in 2024, UNESCO announced the registration of Phu Phra Bat Historical Park as a cultural world heritage site.
