Mr. Kobsak Duangdee, Secretary-General of the Thai Bankers' Association, revealed that the Thai Bankers' Association and member banks are aware of the impact of the flood situation in the northern region of the country, which has caused widespread damage to properties, occupations, and livelihoods of customers and people in the area. The banking sector is concerned and ready to stand by those affected by the floods, and has therefore urgently issued measures to help customers affected by the floods, covering debt repayment reduction and financial support to repair damaged homes. The Thai Bankers Association has coordinated with member banks to provide urgent assistance to customers. Some banks already have support measures in place, while other banks are ready to consider providing appropriate assistance to customers. Each bank will consider providing assistance in line with the customer's situation so that customers can quickly resume their business and live normally. The conditions and criteria for considering each customer are in accordance with the criteria set by each bank. Inform your intention to request assistance at the bank where you are a customer, through a branch, an officer or department that handles loans, or the call center of each bank immediately.
