Currently, EOD officers have not completely cleared the area and are not allowing outsiders and forensic officers to enter the area due to fears of danger. Maj. Gen. Chalermporn Khamkhieo, commander of the Narathiwat Task Force, held a meeting to summarize the progress of the incident at the 11th Ranger Forces Task Force and traveled to inspect the scene. He revealed that he had identified the perpetrators as Mr. Sukriman, who is a group active in Waeng District and nearby districts of Narathiwat Province, and has approximately 20 soldiers as allies.
