Tigerair Taiwan Expands Japanese Network with Three New Routes


Taipei: Taiwanese carrier Tigerair Taiwan announced plans to launch three new routes to Japan, including Kaohsiung-Kumamoto and Tainan-Kumamoto starting December 23, and Tainan-Okinawa starting December 25. The airline aims to enhance its service offerings and connect more destinations within its expanding network.



According to Focus Taiwan, Tigerair Taiwan will initially operate each route with two round-trip flights per week. The Kaohsiung-Kumamoto route will see flight IT-766 departing Kaohsiung International Airport at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, with the return flight IT-767 leaving Kumamoto Airport at 7:50 p.m. on the same days.



The Tainan-Kumamoto route, also scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays, will have flight IT-794 departing Tainan Airport at 3:55 p.m., while flight IT-795 will take off from Kumamoto Airport at 12:40 p.m. On Thursdays and Sundays, Tainan-Okinawa flights will commence with flight IT-796 leaving Tainan Airport at 3:20 p.m. and flight IT-797 departing Okinawa’s Naha Airport at 1:30 p.m.



In its press release, Tigerair Taiwan emphasized that the introduction of these new routes is part of its strategic effort to broaden travel options for its customers. The airline also highlighted that Kumamoto will become its 23rd destination in Japan, while the Tainan-Kumamoto service will mark its first international route from Tainan.
