Unable to save! A 71-year-old grandmother has died after a rescue boat capsized while helping to evacuate floodwaters along the Chiang Saen railway. After reaching the hospital, doctors gave their best help. Yesterday (6 October) there was an accident involving a rescue boat evacuating 3 sick and elderly people and 8 officers, which was going to pick up patients from Kanchanakon Town 1 Village, Riap Chiang Saen Road, Saraphi District. High floodwaters and strong currents caused the boat to capsize, causing a 71-year-old grandmother to drown. A nearby rescue team tried to revive her by performing CPR and rushing her to the hospital. As for the other 2 patients who were floating with the water, rescuers used jet skis to rescue them to safety. Latest (October 6), the medical team from Theppanya Hospital announced that after performing first aid and CPR from the area where the grandmother's body was found to the hospital, the doctors gave the utmost assistance, but the patient had fluid in her lungs and stoppe d breathing for a long time, causing her death at 5:36 p.m. Source: Thai News Agency
