Taipei: The weather across Taiwan is anticipated to be "unstable" starting Tuesday, with conditions fluctuating throughout the day, as forecasted by the Central Weather Administration (CWA). These unpredictable weather patterns are expected to persist into Wednesday.
According to Focus Taiwan, due to a lingering weather front, there will be possibilities of sporadic showers across the island on Tuesday. Localized heavy rain is likely in western Taiwan and Hualien County in the eastern part of the country, as noted by the CWA. Additionally, mountainous regions may experience heavy rain during the afternoon.
Independent meteorologist Wu Der-rong has indicated that similar weather conditions will extend into Wednesday, with the likelihood of thunder, strong winds, and sudden heavy rains. Sporadic rain and thundershowers are also predicted for Thursday, with increasing intensity in the afternoon as the weather front moves southward.
From Friday to Sunday, the forecast includes afternoon showers and thundershowers across the island, while southern Taiwan might witness localized rain in the mornings, as per Wu's predictions. The inclement weather will result in a decrease in daytime temperatures, with highs expected to range between 29 to 31 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday across most of Taiwan, according to CWA data.
In northern Taiwan, daytime highs are projected to drop further to 26 degrees on Wednesday. However, temperatures are expected to rise again on Thursday, with highs returning to around 30 degrees in the north, based on CWA forecasts.
