SEC asks prosecutors to sue 6 cases to civil court for insider trading of PTG shares

The SEC has asked the public prosecutor to file charges against 6 offenders in the case of selling shares of PTG Energy Public Company Limited (PTG) based on inside information they know or possess. disclose inside information and assisting in the commission of an offence. to request that civil penalties be imposed Call for a total payment of 68,456,936 baht plus interest. Set a period to prohibit the trading of securities or futures contracts. and a period of prohibition from being a director or executive together with a report on the action to the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) for further action in accordance with its authority

Previously, the Civil Sanction Committee (MSSC) resolved to apply civil sanctions to 6 offenders, namely (1) Mrs. Chatkaew Gajaseni (2) Ms. Laphasorn Gajaseni (3) Mr. Sahaschai Gajaseni (4) Mr. Khempop Gajaseni (5) Mrs. Kotchakon Pibulthammasak and (6) Mr. Tharathorn Pibulthammasak by requiring the payment of civil fines reimburse the SEC for expenses arising from the investigation of wrongdoing Total amount of 51,540,993 baht and prohibited from serving as a director or executive in a securities issuing company or a securities company for a period of 12 - 31 months (depending on the case)*, but because all 6 offenders did not agree to comply with the civil penalty measure c The SEC therefore issued a letter requesting the public prosecutor to prosecute the six offenders to the civil court in order to impose civil sanctions. by making a total payment of 68,456, 936 baht with interest Including prohibiting all 6 offenders from trading securities or binding derivatives contracts. and prohibited from serving as a director or executive in a securities issuing company or a securities company at the highest rate stipulated by law

The SEC has referred the action to AMLO since the offenses relating to unfair trading of securities are predicate offenses under the Anti-Money Laundering Act. B.E. 2542 to consider proceedings according to authority
