Taipei: Delta Electronics Inc., a leading power management solution provider in Taiwan, reported Monday that its August sales hit a record high for the second straight month on the back of strong global demand for artificial intelligence applications.
According to Focus Taiwan, Delta stated that consolidated sales rose to NT$47.86 billion (US$1.57 billion) in August, marking a 5.4 percent increase from July's previous high of NT$45.40 billion and a 26.7 percent rise from a year earlier. For the first eight months of 2025, the company reported a year-on-year growth of 24.6 percent in consolidated sales, amounting to NT$336.21 billion.
Delta attributed this growth to sustained demand for AI servers, with power management solutions and related electronic components accounting for 52 percent of August sales. The company's infrastructure division, supported by liquid cooling equipment for data centers, made up 32 percent of sales, while automation and transportation sectors contributed 9 percent and 5 percent, respectively.
During a July investor conference, Delta Chairman Cheng Ping expressed optimism about the company's growth prospects in the second half of the year. In line with the strong August results, Delta shares surged 7.99 percent, closing at NT$784.00 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
In a separate statement, Delta announced plans to invest 3.42 billion Thai baht (US$108.15 million) through its Thai subsidiary to construct three plants in Thailand. Local news media reported that the investment aims to expand infrastructure capacity for data centers and bolster Delta's presence in Southeast Asia.
