New taipei: A NT$15 carton of chocolate flavored milk bought from a vending machine at a riverside park in New Taipei was among the winning receipts in Taiwan's July-August uniform invoice lottery, the Taxation Administration said Wednesday.
According to Focus Taiwan, the receipt won the NT$10 million Special Prize, one of 17 awarded in the latest draw. Another 17 receipts won the NT$2 million Grand Prize.
The agency stated that six of the NT$10 million winning receipts were for purchases of less than NT$100, including a NT$36 beverage bought at a 7-ELEVEN in Yilan County's Toucheng Township. The winning number for the NT$10 million Special Prize is 53960536, while the NT$2 million Grand Prize number is 51509866.
The Ministry of Finance's website listed the three First Prize numbers as 43074088, 22870220, and 38253117. Matching all eight digits of a First Prize number secures NT$200,000, while prizes of NT$40,000, NT$10,000, NT$4,000, NT$1,000, and NT$200 go to those who match the last seven, six, five, four, and three digits, respectively.
The redemption period for the July-August prizes runs from Oct. 6, 2025, to Jan. 5, 2026, the agency said. Taiwan's "uniform invoice lottery" is a government program to combat tax evasion by using official receipts as lottery tickets, encouraging consumers to request them and businesses to issue them.
